Home Invader From DC Shot In Maryland Arrested On Robbery Charges, Sheriff Says

A DC man was arrested after being shot during a home invasion robbery in Frederick County, a spokesperson from the sheriff's office said.

Darrell Foster, 30, was taken into custody by the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office on Monday, Jan. 20, after receiving medical treatment for gunshot wounds sustained during the incident, according to officials.

Deputies responded to a residence in the 5600 block of Doubs Road in Adamstown following reports of a robbery. 

Investigators determined that Foster was involved in the armed home invasion and later apprehended him, authorities said.

Foster, who remains held at the Frederick County Adult Detention Center, faces multiple charges, including: 

  • Armed robbery;
  • Firearm use in a violent crime;
  • Illegal firearm possession;
  • Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon;
  • Illegal possession of ammunition.

The investigation into the robbery remains ongoing, and additional information will be released as it becomes available, officials said.
